Need to Save Money on Janitorial Costs… We can HELP!

The common trend through out the janitorial industry right now is how can we to save money.   Many of our clients recently have approached us about ways to reduce their cleaning cost without giving up quality.  You might think this isnt possible, but it is with help between both parties.  Helping our clients save money is as important to us as it is making money.  As an example, one of the ways of cutting costs is cutting back on trash removal frequency — instead of 5 days a week, collect the trash 3 times a week. Or we could vacuum the entryways, public areas and main traffic lanes daily, but cut back on vacuuming employee areas that the public doesn’t see, or other areas that don’t receive much traffic. Student Move Outs

Do you want YUGO of a LEXUS

Do you remember back in the 80’s when the Yugo came out!  Why would anyone buy such a car?  It had to be price and price alone!   It was introduced as being the lowest priced “new” car you could purchase. In reality, the Yugo turned out to be a rather expensive car to own when repairs, down time, and other costs were factored into the equation.  At about the same time, Toyota introduced an upscale brand named the Lexus. It is still being sold and most people would prefer a used Lexus over a new Yugo.  The Lexus has a reputation for dependability, high resale value and many people equate the term Lexus with quality. Of course, even a used a Lexus costs far more than a new Yugo. Why are people willing to spend more money for a Lexus than a Yugo?  The answer is perceived value.

Its all about the relationships with your clients, your employees, and the community.   The competition for janitorial services is present in Cache Valley and we know our customers have a choice.  How do we feel Spotless is different from the rest?   We feel its through our dedication to be consistently improving our services.  We do not accept poor quality,  poor attitudes or poor service in our company!  Doesn’t mean we don’t make mistakes and don’t have room for improvement, but we will make it right!

New customer service representive

We are excited to announce Rich Stehmeier as one of our new customer service representatives.  His main focus will be on establishing relationships with our clients, conducting in house inspections, and conducting employee training.   He has been with Spotless for over 3 years and always worked to the highest level of cleaning standards.  So we are pleased to have him working for us in this capacity.

Its getting Green in here

Spotless of Utah is making Eco- Friendly solutions a standard in its cleaning process when ever possible.  We have found our customers are loving the idea of us Greening our routine!

Here are some thoughts about Green Cleaning. While simple in its approach, this definition incorporates several key concepts worthy of elaboration:

Human Health. Of course, the principle purpose of cleaning is to protect human health so any definition of green or environmentally preferable should address human-health considerations. In the realm of green cleaning, this means we must give due deference to the health impacts cleaning has on custodial personnel and the occupants of the built environment where we are performing our cleaning activities. Special consideration should be given to more vulnerable populations, such as children, the elderly, and those with suppressed immune systems.

Comparative in Nature. Note that the above definition of green cleaning is comparative in nature. In other words, it does not set an absolute or final endpoint of what is environmentally preferable. Instead, it makes a comparison to competing products and services and thereby encourages continual improvement along the green spectrum.

Performance. Lastly, implicit in this definition is the concept that green products and services must perform their intended function of cleaning. It goes without saying that a cleaning product that cannot clean is a waste of resources altogether and is therefore the antithesis of environmentally preferable. More importantly, the performance of cleaning products is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy indoor environment.
